A few days ago somebody was asking about the stripes in toothpaste. Today I killed a choob of toothpaste and did a post-mortem on it, so here it is:

LOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL

that made my day.

Brilliant!

My mother works for Unilever, she puts the stripes in the toothpaste.
Superb. That's made my morning. What were your official findings bernardo?
bernardo, you are an absolute star!

That's inspired me to get up and about and get over my hangover.

Vivisector !!!

Why should that tube of toothpaste suffer for your sick experiments just to satisfy the curiosity of AB-ers?

Not only that, you choose to publish and exhibit your grisly pictures of the poor, dismembered article.

I am apalled and sickened.....

(Formerly the Campaign for Unnecessary and Needless Toothpaste Experimentation, but our lawyers and AB-Ed advised against the use of this name)

ooooooo

Did you suffocate it or give it a lethal dose of morphine like Harold Shipman ?

brachiopod:

Don't you mean "Campaign against Unnecessary and Needless Toothpaste Experimentation"?

Peter Pedant:

I hacked it to death and disembowelled it with a pair of scissors without anaesthetic.

I am truly honoured that you went to all that trouble for my question! Brilliant findings there!

P.S. were you the one who said they'd cut one up in the past?

This has got to be the funniest thread I have seen in a long time on AB :)

Bernardo, no, definitely 'for' - I used to inflict extreme cruelty on toothpaste tubes - usually by crushing and strangling them until their insides squirted out. I have now seen the error of my ways.....

*(alright then, yes, I did mean 'against' - but I was too busy thinking about the acronym)*

brachi: You're funnier than the good doctor here!
