Yes, I'm here..... hi jeza. I'm not really in a position to recommend, I prefer plain chocolate and Aldi's is very good - but my second preference is Green & Black's, which has been on special offer in Waitrose for the last couple of weeks. This one should be good.... http://www.greenandblacks.com/us/our-chocolates/bars/milk.html

No Waitrose here. The only shop I'm going to get to this week is Aldi. Which plain one do you buy?
Aldi do an own brand called Moser Roth. I get the dark 85% which is excellent,so I assume the milk would be good also. It comes in packs of 5 25 gm bars for just over £1.
I don't have an Aldi near me so I've never been in one. I'm not keen on most of the food that Lidl do but their chocolate is quite nice.
I much prefer continental dark chocolate, I can't bear things like Galaxy, and those Guylian chocolate shells things are vile.
Same here, boxy. Anything under 80% seems sickly sweet to me.

Thanks Pasta and Boxy. I will try them both, even though they're not for me.

Tigger, the nearest Lidl is about 10 miles away. I've only been once and I bought nothing.
I'm not keen on praline chocolates. Very sickly. I like Swiss chocolate and Lindt 70% is good. I use it to make chocolate fondants.
LIDL has some nice chocolate and its very reasonably priced. Lindt or Suchard is always good, but pricey. Avoid anything made by the American firm Hershey. They use scalded milk and their chocolate tastes of sick !

Are you saying that you threw Aldis's chocolate away ? Why ?

I am a diabetic now and rarely get to eat chocolate but I find Toblerone very hard to resist !

I don't eat chocs Mikey but was told the ones I bought were vile.
This is all very much a matter of taste though, I would hardly give you a thank you for any dark chocolate, Lindt, Galaxy, Thorntons etc etc - nothing beats Cadbury's Dairy Milk for me
I'm sorry....perhaps I'm being a bit thick here but if you don't chocs, why are you looking for a really good bar of milk chocolate ?
i presume for someone else
Can't beat lindt. It is perfect chocolate.
love from an expert x
Is it that much of an inconvenience to go to a shop that sells chocolate you know you like????
Question Author
Bednobs ir right the choc is for someone else.

Eccles. It is not the inconvenience but the time it will take to shop elsewhere.
