I've taken a half of a 30mg adderall once a week or every other week recreationally for a few months now. I have a hair follicle test tomorrow and I've been using the baking soda, vinegar, astringent, detergent, and will use the precision cleanse in the morning. Likely to pass? Thoughts?

The test is looking for molecules of the drug deposited in the hair follicles when being consumed - i would suggest that is unlikely you will be able to wash these away, if you damage the hair on your head (with chemical cleaners etc) to such an extent that it is obvious you are trying to get round the test they will take hair from some another region of your body.

It is my understanding that these tests are very accurate where drugs have been used over a long term so I think it is unlikely you will pass. Let us know how you get on though

all depends on which agency is testing you?when you last took it etc?was it street bought?slow release?

the substance category leaves the body(not the mind) relatively quickley.

im guessing your not uk based?

It is for employment, standard 5 panel test. I have heard many success stories using the methods I am. I consider myself a very light user and also have light hair. I have been using these methods for 5 days and my hair looks and feels the same so I don't believe that will be an issue. But I guess we will see what happens, this is a very important deal for me, I HAVE to pass this. I have quit adderall and plan to never use drugs recreationally again. It is not worth it! Thanks for the input!

Well the thing is, I didn't apply. I got referred from a relative and had no idea until it happened. It is the opportunity of a lifetime so I really need to get this. Thanks everyone!

Amphetamines are readily detectable by chromatography in hair for three to four months following termination of use. Positive results involving periods longer than this will depend on factors such as hair length, hair type and hair growth rate etc. There are documented cases in biochemical pathology journals of amphetamines being detectable for around nine years. The chromatographic equipment and facilities required to give the result is not required to be state-of-the-art and amphetamines are readily detectable using relatively vintage equipment via hair.

Having worked at a number of USA universities, I've experienced at first hand the use of Adderall on campuses and witnessed the ease of detection. A capable technician should routinely suspect illicit substance use from the texture of your hair, so yes, it is feasible that the hair sample could be taken from elsewhere on your body.

I appreciate you may not want to hear this, but I think it unlikely you will pass the test based on the information you've provided.
