It was a bit of a dive in my day, Bobbi. My favourite watering hole was The Bacchus, though that's been turned into some sort of trendy wine bar these days. My local, though, was The Cradlewell in Jesmond, though that was closed last time I passed by.

Thank goodness the Duke of Wellington is still doing it right!

You are right about the Bacchus Mark, it isn't the same in there anymore, The N/C had a great atmosphere today being so near to St James :-)

LOL no I'm a southerner but I've never felt comfortable saying supper unless its after your tea and at about 10pm.

I say lunch for the middle of the day and dinner if I'm eating out!
