Probably a stupid question

Probably a stupid question but I thought I'd ask it anyway!

How soon do you send in your quizzes once you have completed them? I've only been sending for quizzes advertised here since Christmas and have never done any you have to send back before (only ever done local school quizzes or those given by friends etc.,)

I only ask because I have already sent some back and now I notice people asking for answers to them here and wonder if I should have held on to them until nearer the closing date???

What do you quizzers do please? Thanks.

I have asked here in the past for help with answers but only to quizzes that have not been available from here ... if that makes sense.

Now I have just realised that lots of answers are posted here which sort of makes the HOURS I have spent looking up answers for myself a bit of a waste of time.

I am thinking if I had held onto quizzes I have now posted back for April or May closing dates then I could have checked any answers I was not sure of!

Never realised all this quizzing was so difficult!

I send mine off when I've finished, and then feel smug when people ask for answers!
But I never accept prizes for any quizzes tehat I've used AB for answers. Feels like cheating.

LOL! Thanks Society ... it is too late if I've sent the form back!

Am still struggling with a couple of quesitons for a couple of questions but am reluctant to ask because I got "told off" last time for asking too early!

Will keep my eyes peeled though and if those answers crop up I admit I will be stealing them ... BUT I feel I have exhausted all the possibiliies I have to find those answers myself though and this would be my last straw really as I don't know how else to find them.

I only do the Prize Crosswords in the Sunday Papers i.e Mail and Express and the odd other ones. I send them off as soon as I have completed them but have never won a major Cash amount......

I think it's more fun researching the answers than boldly asking someone to provide them. However I do understand that some of the questions could be quite tricky and cleverly asked. So sometimes a bit of help is needed indeed.

I am HONESTLY not entering to win - although having said that I would be delighted with any prize ... am entering more as a challenge with myself. Lost my memory pretty much after my mom died and now, after four and a half years have decided I need to try and get back on track and as I have always loved quizzes I thought I'd try and reactivate the little grey cells!

Am not into those "DS" machine things and love researching info.,etc,. so finding quizzes available here seemed the answer. I can Google and leaf through books 'till the cows come home (or hubby and then I have to cook him dinner!) I would always research and research and research and only then ask for advice when I am at a complete loss.

Your original question was, when do you send them back? I usually wait until a fortnight before closing date, not to see if others answer online but rather if sent months ahead I fear they could get hidden under a pile of paperwork.

As for asking, I see no problem if the date is looming and someone needs help with a couple, but we do see some asking half of more from one quiz when the date is far off, can see no pleasure in that myself.

Glad to read that quizzing is helping after a traumatic time, sure keeps the brainbox ticking over.

I don't do many at the moment,but would always send them back as soon as I've completed them,as otherwise they would get lost under piles of paperwork HERE! Several times I have found one again,only to find the closing date has been and gone!
