12 Weeks Pregnant - No sickness

I am 12 weeks pregnant, but have not been sick or really even felt sick, haven't had any heartburn, don't seem to need to urinate any more frequently than normal....In fact the only sign of being pregnant I have is feeling tired all the time.  I am worried that there is something wrong, but can't get a scan until 15 weeks, so my mind isn't going to be put at rest for another 3 weeks.  Can anybody tell me if this lack of symptoms is normal?

Thanks

Vicky

Try not to worry too much, just think - some women go through their whole pregnancy without even knowing they are pregnant - symptons vary enormously from one person to the next, and even between pregnancies for the same woman. The fact that you feel really tired is a good indicator,  and the heartburn and frequency of urination tend to come on later in the pregnancy as the baby presses on your diaphragm and bladder. Have a word with your midwife for a bit of reassurance, & try and enjoy the fact that you are feeling so well! Good luck.

Mrs Bangkok had no sickness at all throughout the pregnancy, although she felt tired a lot.  The second trimester saw an upturn in energy, mainly shopping.
Hmmm, forgot to say don't worry, yes it is normal
I didn't have any sickness with my 2 pregnancies either.  I just felt tired & had to take iron tablets, other than that I was fine.
With both my pregancies I didnt feel pregnant until I got my bump.  With my first I was worried I would have a scan and there would be nothing there !! So relax and enjoy it.

Same goes for me.  I was   fine but the heartburn came later on at around 8-9 months. Same went for the weeing; as the baby gets  so large he presses down on your bladder.  Don't worry yourself though; also this stage of pregnancy will feel long as you constantly wait for something to happen!  Good luck. xxx

Feeling tired all the time is very common in pregnancy so I would not say that you are displaying a "lack of symptoms".  I think you have the most typical one!

Don't worry - I was just the same. I never had morning sickness, frequent urination, or heartburn either; but the tiredness in the first few months was a killer. You'll soon have an upsurge of energy though, where you'll look and feel ab fab! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and best of luck.

Absolutely completely normal.  So is tiredness.  Stop worrying, at once and sleep when you can!!

Take Care

Just to echo the above...I had no symptoms as such, just tiredness like you which seems to be the most common side affect.  I did get a bit of heartburn once baby got bigger, but I kept milk on hand at all times, and that took care of it without resorting to medicines etc. Think yourself lucky Vicky...none of that awful morning sickness that some have to go through!!  Just sleep when you can (I used to love a wee nap when I got in from work!) and enjoy your pregnancy. Good luck. xx
consider yourself blessed, and use this as a great reason to love your pregnancy and enjoy the creation your making.

Good luck with your pregnancy.

I too, was incredibly tired and thought I would never get beyond the tiredness at all.

My son was born three weeks early at 5.4Ib, but was very healthy.

The only worries I have had are with the medical profession, and thankfully each and everyone has been proved wrong.

Just lie back and enjoy, your maternal instincts will kick in immediately the baby is born, and take everything with a pinch of salt.

Mum, knows best!

Wow - no sickness, I am so jealous!  Count your blessings.  I was ill for 5 months and ended up on a drip.
I have had 2 children and never did show any signs of being pregnant until I was 5 or 6 months along!! Be THANKFUL, there are a lot of women that go through**** from the very get go!!! You are blessed to not be sick!!!!!!
