Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I'm still learning about the site and tonight saw some replies in quizzes and puzzles. I cannot understand why the style of some users is to make statements rather than ask questions. Also they duplicate the wording. For example.

Lack of imagination for the second part - well for that poster it seems.

It's not how it's supposed to be, it takes some people a while to get the hang of it. Some people just write their name in the title box which tells us nothing about the content of the post.
Sometimes we politely point out to people that they'd get better answer rates if they changed their habits, but sometimes we have tried that it and nothing changes.
Takes a while to learn the ropes! ;-)

people have different styles, I wouldnt let it worry you, after a time you find a lot of oddities on here

You'll also see why most of the answers to their questions are made-up gibberish, as no thanks for a correct answer are ever given.

Yes, posters such as roget, cdwrover123, puzzleking123 and dr.chris have a posting style which consists of putting exactly the same text in the title box as they put in the question details box. Maybe they just copy and paste from one to the other to save time. I've wondered whether though whether there is a technical feature that I'm unaware of for some browsers or AB which means that you only need to enter the details once and they get duplicated automatically.

and anyway he doesn't, least not always - a few differences in spelling sometimes
