Help needed please to solve last few. A. Aussie XIs are good at this sort of sliding,( 8 letters.) B. Old fur can turn into red leader,( 6 letters). C. 12th Night King of Mischief, (4, 2, 7 letters) D. Wise + no positive charged particle about to stuff ( 4,3,5 letters) E. Sounds as if we grind 3. 14159's? (54 letters). The answer to 3 I have as sleigh bells, but unable to find the connection.

Sorry, finger trouble for E. I forgot the comma. It should have read 5 and 4 letters! Thank you for all your other answers, and to emritus too.
E - are you sure it is not 3.14159 rather than 3. 14159 because for former is Pi, which would change the clue to "sounds as if we grind pi"

I've just checked the sheet again and the question as typed is ' Sounds as if we grind 3.14159's? '(5,4) I assumed that the '3' referred to the third question on the sheet. That wa,s 'We hear Quasimodo might have longed to do this! (6,5) which I believe to be Sleigh Bells.
Definitely mince pies.
