Diction means clarity of speech - which is not like the cockney sound for Harry (arree). At least that is how I reasoned this out.
9a I am thinking Grandly, because you have Andy (Dalziel) in there and on a perfect cruise could be Grandly, but I am not sure wher the GR and L come in to it......
