MM Links April 2010 [Week 3]

This is “Lady Jan” once again bidding you “Welcome” to my third week as setter of the MM links game
I was pleased to note that quite a few of the early scorers last week picked up double points. I find it fairly difficult to pitch a game at the correct level, however with so many of you on four or five points after only two rounds I must be doing something right!
As many of you already know, I work in a large national supermarket. This last week or so, we have been relocating many of our product lines. Furthermore, there have been lots of exciting major changes, including a much enlarged clothes section, aimed at tempting the ladies with many new ranges for the latest Summer Fashions. Such reorganisation at regular intervals makes good marketing sense, since shoppers begin to shop on “autopilot” after a while and miss our full range of products. By changing the layout, the shoppers must explore new aisles in search of their regular brands.

Of course, this has implications for staff as well and I have been given the job of directing bemused shoppers to the new location to find what they are looking for. Needless to say, some shoppers are not too happy with the exercise as they are content to “sleep” shop (a variation of sleep walking) and resent having to wake up and look for their groceries. However, it is not a marketing strategy, just giving the customers what they asked for in the first place, which is an enlarged clothes section.
As always, for the every day running of MM, I will follow the same rule as introduced by crofter on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter will declare my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.
My third set of four words to have their links predicted will appear below at 9.00am.
