Can anyone define for me cold, colder, hot and hotter?

Don't really know what you mean but colder is the comparative form of the adjective cold and is used when comparing two things (coldest is superlative when comparing three or more things) . Same goes for hot. ... er and ..est are added to most adjectives to form the comparative and superlative forms with as usual some exceptions! I can still remember one exception I was taught . Good,better, best never let it rest till you good is better and your better best. Hope this was what you meant by defining.
