Accoutrement and Assignations can anyone explain either please?

Well, neither is a verb, which the form of the question suggests it should be.
what are the answers supposed to be linked to?

All the answers have something to do with hearing and contain words such as aid and ear and inner

The kids great granny (aged 94) often asks the kids when we visit if they've brought all their accoutrements with them. by this she means are all their facilities in working order so i suppose she could also be implying their senses? i.e hearing ,sight etc.
Bit tenous i know but thought i'd suggest it anyway

Well, go for accoutrements then. Assignations are secret trysts so are not a good answer.

Accouterment is a soldiers outfit and contains (outer as in outer ear)

Not entirely sure that I offered ACCOUTERMENT anyway!!!
I was getting hung up on ACOUSTICS sounding like ACCOUTREMENT/ACCOUTERMENT
