No one knew this so if a cryptic answer isn't required I'll look in my book of Pub Games in the morning,
I was thinking of skittles, bowls, boules, shove ha'penny or maybe something with a regional variation.
Am off to bed to watch last night's footie now.

Thanks Tallulah for taking the time to reply. I have skittles boules and shove ha'penny for other answers.

thankyou JMR27. Quoits is one of the three games I have pencilled in for this question.
When's the closing date, flopsy? Is it rush job? I found quoits too but when was tarmac invented. Is that relevant?
The quiz I do GFQ makes me suspect every word!!!
Is the quiz cryptic?
Still looking.

Hi Tallulah, no rush yet, closing date 11 July.
It is cryptic in a way, but not the sort of cryptic that you are used to. lol
