thanks janbee I could see it in my mind but couldn't think of the film.
John Rowlands was Henry Stanley who famously greeted "Dr Livingstone I presume" - but no idea of a book or film!

thanks quizmonkey there is a film stanley and livingston I think but I cant fit it in with the 2, 7, 6. thanks for trying.
I was thinking the 6 could be Africa or jungle - but no further I'm afraid.
