MM &KM Links October 2008 [Week 2]

I have eventually been able to make contact with King Ulysses the Valiant after his house move last weekend. As things stand, it looks like that I, crofter, will (once again) need to deputise for him, although the text originates from Ulysses himself.

In my various conversations with King Ulysses, I have learned that he is regular competitor for the crossword entitled "Enigmatic Variations" which in my eyes is the Holy Grail of crosswords. Not only that, but he has been a winner no fewer than THREE times. (Utmost respect man! Street cred big style!)

I already have the new theme for Week 2 from him and I shall be launching the MM Links Game on AnswerBank tomorrow at 8.45am on his behalf with his four chosen words to be linked being declared at 9.00am. More details tomorrow morning!

Don’t forget that we also run an international version of this same game (called KM Links) where the words to be linked are determined by the DT’s Herculis Crossword. That usually kicks off some time after 06.30am! Here the score master is seekeerz from the Land of Oz. There is some evidence that Ozzie gremlins may well have infiltrated seekeerz’s system ~ so keep flexible! Whatever happens why not try your hand at BOTH games? These competitions are open to everyone and ongoing until well into Sunday. There will be well over 40 entries for each Link Game and competition is fiercely light-hearted!

As for me, I am crofter, Keeper of the Rule Book and Sacred Abacus.

Happy Linking!

ladyalex,
I agree, indeed exalted company, you "cannot even begin it" I don't even understand it, and when I see the answers I am no wiser not even, to quote F.E. Smith, "better informed"!

Now a bottle of single malt at £5.00 and I would be permanently "off-line"!

Sorry, Strix, didn't mean to cast nasturiums upon your car.
Does it run well on beer ?

(I have kept last week's Enigmatic Variations to check it having managed to fill in precisely one answer. I do not think that Ulysses has much competition from me!)
