8 letters is correct - you may have an alternate spelling of the same word, & need to add a letter... :-)

I might not be right as i'm struggling with this quiz.
Think of a word for spoil then add another word for a fight.
You're looking for a bird but its usually spelt without the last letter on it which is where I went wrong.
Does that help

Thank you your help. I haven't got it yet but I will work on it. My final eight are - 10, 32, 46, 57, 60, 61, 82, 97.

I will give you clues for any others.

A few random thoughts -

A possible answer for 82 is "piper cub" but it doesn't really fit the clue (eg connection with river?).

Does 97 refer to Harry Hargreaves, the cartoonist?

61. anagram of the first 2 words then find out the name of that person's yacht
82. what's the most annoying Scottish insect? and the name of a river? you'll end up with the name of a Scottish singer

32 is an anagram (leastways thats what I have)
60 Think of what a body builder might use
97 I went for James Hargreaves.

57 This ones driving me crackers I have the second word and i'm no nearer to the first than when I started i've sent myself to sleep reading about this chap and his plane lol

I see someones provided good clues to the other 2 you asked for

Dont know if it helps with 46 but you cant tell it from butter lol

Hope it helps.

Many thanks to oddbody and JMR27 - I have now got 46 and 61 and can see how to solve several of the others, given a bit of research.

Please let me know if you would like some clues for the ones I have solved - I'm reasonably confident with my answers.

57 If you have the second word for this then it should be quite easy, but an additional clue for the first word is an alias for a superhero

Many Thanks someone else said this as well but I must be a bit slow on the uptake or I just dont know many superheroes lol
I've still got 20 to do and as always I seem to get stuck on the ones everyone else finds easy must be the way my brain works. I think theres been clues to some of them but I can't search. AB told me the search facility is iffy and to log out to search but it hasnt made a scrap of difference I still only get replies from a year or so ago guess you could say
its a bit Up In The Air lol
