Was in Manchester shopping this morning, dodging the rain. I have never seen the River Irwell as high.

It's claming down a bit now in the city centre, hope PatriciaH's daughter's wedding escaped the brunt of it.

Neil is off on his brother's stag do and they were meant to go to Haydock races but it's been called off due to the rain so have had to go straight to the pub so dread to imagine the state they will be in later!

It is high isn't it!!! Can see it from my flat where I'm sitting and pretty glad my flat is so high up. It's calmed down a bit now but looked pretty rough earlier today.

Think I'll be staying curled up here in the warm.

Here in London, it has been raining on and off all day.

I washed some sheets and put them out, only to be rushing out 5 minutes later to get them in. Then the sun comes back out and I re-hang them out, only to go through the same rigmarole again!!!!

I've only been here for about five years and it's changed so much over that time and must have changed even more than that with the bomb which was before my time here.

Weddings, I need to get out and find a wedding outfit at some point soon for Neil's brother's wedding though got the hen night to enjoy first though :)
