Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Hi, answer for 5)down please (4) *L*G? I am guessing it is PLUG, but if so, why? The last letter G is from 10)across (8) lower overhead railway in revamped Great Eastern. R*L***T* I think it must be relegate, but again unsure why? Not my day!

I'm stuck on that one too. It's the only one I need but if it is PLUG - why? Don't get it I'm afraid.

Hi , I am still baffled, but am going to use plug. It is usually at the bottom of a barrell, and to plug is to popularise, although that is hardly key comments, or is it? Thanks anyway, John.

It is possible that plug is the incorrect answer.
Blog seems to be more appropriate and if you
look under Quizzes & Puzzles/ Crosswords, questioned by TONK, the answer they received was blog.

Hi, you could be right. Unfortunately I have nothing in my dictionary (circa1996) on the word Blog, but having looked it up online I am still baffled, except could it be b log= b for barrel, the log as in ship's record? On the plus side plug can be easily changed to blog without looking obvious. Thanks, John.

Blog is short for weblog.
here is an official definition :
"A website that displays in chronological order the postings by one or more individuals and usually has links to comments on specific postings."
