Cobana Choc bars

Does anyone remember Cobana Choc bars? They were about as big as a topic... in a navy blue wrpper. Toasted coconut and cherry pieces, wrapped in toffee and then covered in chocolate. I think Terry's might have made them. I'm sure i never dreamed them up!

I remember them, they were absolutely minging as is anything made with dessicated coconut! Yeuch!

I remember them too. I didn't mind the coconut, but the cherries were hideous.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh memories!! I loved the cabana bar and I wish they would bring it back too. I have no idea who made them though boo hooo.

Yes - loved them!I much prefered cabanas to bounty bars, but I had a feeling they were made by Cadbury. You could always mail them & ask - say we want them back please!

Yey! I just emailed Cadbury's and asked about this, dropping more than a few hints that we would like to see its return lol.

Yes MrsCheeks, i too mailed cadburys... perhaps we could get everyone to do the same. After all... i campaigned for the return of Strawberry Cremes in Roses... and they came back!!!

I remember the advert very well. It was a group of men singing the "Day-o" song. "Coconut, Caramel, Cherries and the Chocolate, Cobana, cobana etc"....Great!. The way i remembered it was that it was a line of caramel on top of the Coconut and under the chocolate coating. My fave bar ever and really sad it went.

yeah i remember it,don't think i made up my mind whether i liked them or not,one day they seemed gorgeous then another really sickly.I'm askin around ,see if anyone remembers the TEXAN bar?

I was right, Terrys made them. And apparently they were only an experiment. But with all these replies... at least i don't feel like a sad old git anymore!

thank god I am not mad!!!! all my friends thiink I invented the cobana bar and I am delusional. you my friend have made me feel sane again. I used to eat these delights on the way home from brownies
