until very recently!
I have only had my car for a month, and I have not long passed my test.
It's a wonder I wasn't pulled, although I don't really drive much at night!

Would love to hear other peoples' 'new driver experiences'! It might help me feel a little less stoopid!

havent had many myself but my mate ended up stopping on a train track as barriers came down
Hiya babe! When I was a new driver, I remember the first time I drove alone at night, + I was fascinated by a likkle blue light on the dashboard. Apparently it meant my headlights were on full beam! x
I have to laugh when I recall my mate breaking down one time on her own and because she didnt want any strangers stopping to help her, everytime a car came she pushed car, ran alongside and got in and turned steering wheel pretending it was still going

4get, oh my goodness! What a scary experience...Was she OK? And why didn't your other (same?!) friend want any help?

Hiya Bath, hun, that is so funny! It is a lovely shade of blue, but I bet oncoming cars weren't quite so impressed by it!

The first time I took a long journey is a whole other story but I am still so embarrassed that I don't want to talk about it....

HMMM, seems like a woman thing, :-)
BTW are you Blonde ?
Because she was down some little lane and was scared :-) and yer girl on track was ok, madly reversed into right hand lane.
Take no notice of logic's misogynistic question leels, although I am impressed by the correct spelling of blonde! x

4get, phew!
I had the opposite problem on my way home with the car, was desperate for someone to help but they all just waved at me instead! Grr!

logic, I had so much respect for you....tssh!

Bath, I think he reckons himself to be some misogynistic misigog, but really he is just a big pussy cat :P
How are you today hun?

Iv'e googled it, Ive looked in the oxford dictionary,
Iv'e asked jeeves,

But I'll be damned if I can get any information on misygognystic,
could someone enlighten me, ?

or do we have two blondes here.
i once spun on an icy corner and got my car stuckin in a lane... like in the 1st austin powers movie...
fortunately i was going slow so it didnt roll or do any damage... but i got the cr4p kicked out of me by my gf best mate and his gf who were all in the car asleep at the time :o/ its been my only accident as such *touches wood*
Congratulations Leelapops on passing your driving test and getting a new car!

Don't let the sound of a constantly popping horn make you nervous and encourage you to make a wrong move. Take your time, focus and obey the laws and driving rules. Give yourself a couple months and you'll be well on your way.
NAH JimJools I think it's a word that bathsheba has ellaborated on,

But Iv'e looked at your word and I like that one, :-)
figure why congratulate, ? there are already far too many women drivers on the road,

wheres

Bath I know just what you mean, it's blooming warm...my car is like a wee greenhouse! When I get in it's windows down, sunroof open (to its capacity: 3 inches!)...And nope, no air con in my Rover 100 ;)

Psychick, you aren't the only one! And my handbrake is a little springy and stays on even once I have released it! Did it make that horrible sound?! Yuk!

DarkMaj, glad you were OK and no-one came to harm!

figure, thanks very much hun! I try and not let people harrass me: especially as I am the one who will lose my licence automatically if I commit an offence in the first 2 years! I have calmed down a lot. I used to panic during my lessons, especially if people got stressy at me, but I am learning fast, and am much less of a danger than I used to be!!!

logic, I am seriously disappointed. Never thought you had it in you to be a t**t...

xx
leelapops is that a swear word, i see before me, ?
Question Author
No, absolutely not logic.... it's a word that starts with t, ends with t, and has a middle consisting of two asterisks!

Anyway, how are you, older chap?
