Many thanks The Builder, gen2 and squarebear. You do realise of course that I now only need one which is driving me nuts!
I have put Colon for 18 down - Col = pass plus on. Used in mid-sentence.

Thank you
21a I've got CONTINUAL = without interruption - but why?
If something is without interruption, it is continual.
But how does the answer derive from the clue? I just hate to get the right answer and not know why?
What is the clue? You didn't say.
21a - Fiddle section backing little boy without interruption.
Fiddle = Con
Section backing = Unit reversed i.e. tinu
Little boy = Al
It all makes sense now - even though it is a trifle convoluted. Thanks, I'll sleep soundly for knowing it.
