Herculis 24a

Is "Mansell" the answer here? I feel very foolish asking this but what I know about racing can be written on the back of a stamp!

Thanks

Thanks johnalex.

Sorry Prescott. It was M?N?E?L. British racing driver who was the first to win two world championship titles simultaneously.
can someone enlighten me ...

I know Nigel Mansell won the

1992 Formula I championship

1993 CART championship

and, according to Wikipedia 'only person in history to hold both titles simultaneously' -------

but the Herculis question is ' who was the first to WIN two championship titles SIMULTANEOUSLY' .....

how can you win two championships simultaneously? You can hold them!!

another '**************' of the English language by a xword setter ....

I couldn't agree more ventpeg. This is yet another poorly researched and/or written clue by the setter.

I'm seeing more and more of these incorrect clues lately. It's bad enough that we have spend time debating the spelling of a word on here without this nonsense.
