hi Jan, can't comment on Kate as have yet to see it, but very sorry to see you've been on the sick list as well - shingles can be very nasty, as my neighbour found out and she too, had one eye affected - I hope in your case not too seriously On another track - how are you going with the G ?? I've come to another grinding halt, with 27d and the combination 17 & 37a so if you have any light to shed on those I'd be very grateful and I wish you a speedy recovery cheers, Steff |

Hi Steff ... for 27d use the French word for " The Channel" as last six letters .... can give answers if you would like them (S)

Hi, steff was away ironing net curtains!!!!
I am not ill but look a mess at the moment, I am more frustrated at not being able to go to work. I am looking for jobs around the house I must be hyper active as am not able to sit for too long hence the nets being washed at 7am this morning glad you have the answers for the generalist I finished it on Wednesday and I was attacking the birds and Bs quiz last night 6 t go now. Time on my hands etc back at the drs on Monday jan |
|
jan, if you're ironing net curtains, I think we need to take you out for some retail therapy or something !!!! that sounds serious |
|
Jan .. I agree it was easier today, but there are many who like to complete as much of the grid as possible before resorting to search engines etc. and for them it may be met with approval ?
I think it is still probably the best available weekly GK crossword. Hope you are not feeling too sore with shingles ... but as said earlier at least it will give you additional free time for weekend puzzles etc (S) lol |

Agree re this morning's crossword.

jan, i have to disagree. last week's was indeed excellent and this week's is a bit easier. but it still covers a wide range of general knowledge and several clues are not all that simple. i don't think we need worry.

I disagree entirely. It's hard enough if you don't use assistance to find your answers.
