Some I have ideas on but others have me baffled!

As it concerns you, I regestered as I found this site in google research.

I was apalled at what is going on.

Genuine Quiz setters have no chance ane everyone is suddenly a clever dick.

Tie breaks are the only option, making each quiz no more that a lottery.

Good God beth ..your head must be enormous with all the amount of information that you keep in it that you can do a quiz without having to look stuff up somewhere or ask someone .I certainly wouldn't know what a trepang is and would have had to look it up ...but of course you probably have that information stored in your marvellous superior brain.
The whole theme in all your posts is "Win " and that's what you want to do if the truth is known .
As for tie breaks ..all they have to do is bung all the ones with correct answers in a hat and draw out a certain number .If you win you win ..if you don't hard luck.They have still had their money .This site must generate a lot of support for charity quizzes ..I bet some charities have seen a huge improvement in donations since AB became a popular place for people to post their latest charity quizzes.

I send in a crossword book comp every month of 26 answers along with thousands of other people .I daresay 99.9% of us have all the answers correct and I expect lots of us have used AB , anagram solvers,websites etc when we have been stuck. .Someone has to win each competiton but we aren't all writing to the editor sniping at those who do .It's the luck of the draw.
As I have said before you are terrified someone else is going to have the glory of winning and may do so because they asked a question on here for which they got a correct answer....while little Miss Pious has done all her own work and we are "lazy arses" . I think that's what you accused people of being in your last rant .
Pride comes before a fall ..I hope you never have to ask someone for help....and not only for a quiz .. and they refuse you ....End of story really !

Going back many posts - so if there had been a Beth on Millionaire, or Poker Face or some other quiz, I would immediately know who you were and where you lived. Yea, Right. I think I have my answer. If you'd had success on TV quizzes, why would you be worrying your head and working up such a sweat over quizzes with �10 or �50 prizes.

Yes, everyone is entitled to an opinion and we've heard yours many times but it doesn't change how the people on this site feel about asking and answering questions and nor will it however much you carry on about 'cheating'.

A fascinating series of exchanges. I don't know whether anyone is still involved, but, if so, I would like to ask a couple of questions.
1. If I start off in the London Marathon, drop out half way
round having left the running to some friends, then
cross the finishing line to the cheers of the crowd, is that
fair?
2.If I only became aware of the Group Therapy quiz this
morning, and am due off on holiday, am I entitled to ask
for help with 100 questions, or perhaps 50, or what?
3.Is assisting all that matters, or are there other
considerations?

I suggest that the combatants should step back a bit, and not fly off the handle so readily.

Reading all the answers you have already received I have to just say this site is there for people like you and me who need help sometimes, we are not cheats, and I for one will donate anything I might win to the charity involved.

As somebody else says why do you even bother to look at AB if you dont need any answers Beth.

I'm really going to upset bthbn now, cos I still need a couple of answers, well 3 actually. I'm not bothered about winning, but I do like to see my name in the 'hundred percenters' (it's only happened once!). AND the whole point is that we contribute to the charity. Please help with 33, 64 and 77. I think I know what 77 is, but can't quite see why - a pretty pink flower?
