Well Kayakamina said Tref earlier but that means you would be using the "centre" in the clue twice. I have interpreted V as fifth but you could go with Tref if you feel more comfortable (f being the centre letter of fifth). But having used "half of centre" for part of the clue I thought V more was likely than F. Take your pick
