I think I must be a bit stupid as the ones that I'm stuck on haven't been asked! (or maybe it's the heat getting to me)

4. Campanula medium
7. Pass in the Home Counties
28. Brian wanted to be loved in '63
38. The animals spoke to the doctor here in 1966
39. August 10th

Also, I've seen what has been suggested before for no63 (The Little Apple) but my husband seems to think that at one time Appley Bridge, nr Wigan tried to be twinned with New York and was given this nickname. Can anyone confirm this?

Thank you both

juliefer - can you explain Scole to me.

T,
I have also heard that Appley Bridge had been referred to as Wigan's Little Apple.

Hope J doesn't mind, but, no.7 Scole is made from the Home Counties - usually referred to as the South East (SE) containing col - another name for a pass.

Regards
although a puzzle addict like you ternigapp. I've hated this puzzle, in spite of help from AB puzzlers.I,m still stuck on ones that haven,t been asked for yet as well! I wish the compiler would put the number of required letters in brackets, then we would all be much more confident of our answers. Until such time, there are plenty of other quizes to answer, as its a waste of time with the fiji one.
