A certain number consists of two digits. The number is equal to five times the sum of its digits. If you add 9 to the number, the order of its digits is reversed. What is the number?

If the number is xy (digits x and y), its value is 10x + y.

Then from 1st piece of info

10x + y = 5(x + y)
5x = 4y

The only single digits that satisfy this are x = 4 and 5 = y.

So you don't really need the 2nd piece of info.
