Yes I use Rogets Thesaurus mostly but I also have a Chambers thesaurus as well. You can also search for them online with a google search.

Hi Jenny 18, its just that I am trying to find the Synonym for commonplace, and can see a word that might be linked to a place and a vehicle, beginning with H in rogets. Need to look elsewhere.. oh god is there no end to this?

interesting - my dictionary says the american name for a penny-farthing (which of course is the answe t no 1 to which the clue alludes)

Yes that was the online definition by Chambers Goofy.

My big Chambers definition is an ungeared bicycle with one large and one small wheel etc. no mention of American.

LIke the weather forecasts on the TV Channels the dictionaries cant agree either.
