Is this question by any chance related to Sven Hassel's novel "Liquidate Paris!"?! There's a whole chapter there where the 5th Company of the 27th Disciplinary Panzer Batalion drives mad half the occupation German army of Paris with this question... However, nobody seems to know the answer...IN THE BOOK!!!

yeh what a strange coincidence,have just finished reding Sven hassels book and just had to find out myself,now on to his next book who knows what ill learn this time.
