I don't like the smell of it either...well not all of them. Some are fine but some smell really gross.

put a slash of wiccy in it?

er add a few tablespoons of a decent malt whiskey before consuming

if the lemon is a fresh one, adding zest to the hot drink as well as juice can help the drink smell more of lemon and less of honey

I’ve just about thrown up :0(

If it's for a sore throat try gargling with salt water...or ginger tea. Though that's gross without sugar. Will help cough also.
