What an awful hot, sunny day it was yesterday and looks like being again today. Had to go out yesterday but there is no way I am venturing forth today. I find this sunny weather unbearable. Does anyone else?

Not hot here LJ, pleasantly warm and we sleep comfortably

That's good Bobbi. Pleased for you. Just was so hot, sunny and humid. Just ill making.
Gone quite dull now and were expecting thunder storms from Edinburgh down to us sometime today
When it's sunny, it's time to get your vitamin D...we need that in this cloudy country.
It's uncomfortable sometimes but I'd rather a bit of this than constant, grey and depressing weather.
Yesterday was 34 degrees here and absolutely unbearable.I normally love the heat but this was so humid it was too much even for me.

I can just about cope with sunny weather when there is a breeze but yesterday was also still and humid. Felt so very unwell when I got home in the afternoon. Driving was a great effort. Did nothing for the next couple of hours. Mind you OH did nothing for the rest of the evening and he likes the sun and heat. Sits out in it.
I'll swap our dull overcast skies for your sunny weather.
I agree with you,LJ. I'm down in your area so have similar weather.
Far too hot and humid. Thick mist this am and no wind.
Having trouble sleeping at night, too.
At least it's overcast but no cooler.
Me too Danny :0/
Way too hot and humid for me as well, more of the same today as well.
I don't think I am well then as last night I turned the electric fire on for about 20 minutes and I was just lovely. I do love this intense heat.
Said before I suffer from hyperhidrosis so the hot weather is certainly not for me - especially when I have to work in it. Boiling hot here yesterday but the heavens opened early hours, accompanied by loud rolls of thunder. Not been out yet but does look a lot cooler - a lot of grey mixed in with the blue. My type of weather :-)

Good to know some of you are enjoying it. Without a good breeze it is just not for me. The humidity is very unpleasant. Lots of mist during the night and early morning as is expected but our usual breezes would be very welcome. So still out there. Nothing is moving.
Completely unrelated but does anyone now the origin of the phrase 'whingeing Pom'?
We even have a few leaves breaking free and landing on the lawn already like the onset of an early Autumn
Well considering we are only 21/22 here in NI I am loving it but on Friday driving in England the temp gauge rear 37!! Way too hot

Originated in Australia

Think Doug was being facetious, Danny.
Coincidentally, there's an Aussie on Radio 2, now, in the daily religious slot, who has just said that when he lived in Australia, he suffered temps of 41 degrees. Yet the heat we are currently seeing in the UK is actually getting to him. Whingeing Aussie?
lol Ken
It was relatively cool here yesterday. Plenty of cloud cover.
Going to be a hot one today, though. I used to love it and would roast myself all day with a factor 2 oil. Now, I mostly stay indoors with fans on. I do try to get out for a bit for my Vit D.
