Was trying to see if 52 and 53 had any relevance in the rest of the quiz smurf, that's all

35 highlights from the hairdresser have pit hairstreak so dont know if that helps with 46
It's been answered twice smurf, once by Tilly2 as 49 and then by Flonska

Not much help to you but I think the reference to '52/53' is an error.

16. There is a "Mole Cricket" but as cricket has not been mentioned in the clue, then I think this can be disregarded. A mole by itself is not an insect or other type of bug.
