Who are these people----I have just had my mobile phone balance reduced by £4.50 .After contacting O2 they said I had received a text from the above people I don't recall such. Anyone else having problems??

Haven't had that problem, kenny, but received my BT bill via email this morning and found a mystery call, dialled at a time when i wasn't even in the house (and my dog hasn't yet got the hang of dialling). Though it was only 1 second in duration, the call cost 41p so i queried this with BT 'live chat' and they promised to refund the money. The number dialled was 123 which is apparently the speaking clock! I have 2 wall clocks in the living room, one in the kitchen, a wrist watch and a mobile phone, all of which will tell me the time. I pointed this out to Parminder Pal (for that was the call centre guy's name) and he told me that it must just be an error. I will be keeping a beady one on future phone bills.

It's a puzzle isn't it. You (or someone giving your number) may have signed up to it inadvertently by ticking a box when accepting an offer or taking a free download. You may find you will get more charges
