I am baffled by 31 down "Lush plantation". I assume the solution is "tope" but I can't see the link to plantation. Any explanation would be greatly appreciated.

My Bradfords defined plantation as tope and a tope is a lush (drinker)
Chambers says Tope ..India ..eg a grove (of mangoes etc) or plantation.

Lush/tope = person who drinks to excess
Tope (South Asia) a plantation (esp of mango trees)
