the Schutz-Staffel?
SS? - Are we to assume this is one of your infantile derogitory names for Scottish people?

Speaking of infantile, this spat appears akin to something that might occur in the playground. Telling a woman to shut up is not sexist anymore than saying "Shut up Man" is. Both of them should grow up.
Obviously, Alex was just taking a lesson from Davy-boy, who told a female Labour MP to "Calm down, dear!" So, was that earliet incident just more arrogance from the TS? (I'll keep the meaning of that acronym to myself!)
I recognise a storm in a tea cup when I see one, and this is it. Soubry was barracking Salmond and he told her to belt up, but much more politely. So what !
Fome Salmond:
"She should be setting an example to her new members, not cavorting about like some demented junior minister. Behave yourself, woman."
From the SNP:
"There is no place for sexism in the House of Commons - and this was not an example of it.
From Mickey:
"Soubry was barracking Salmond and he told her to belt up,"

All of you in the 19C it would appear.

Using the term 'woman' at the end is clearly sexist and, in public life, should not be tolerated.

I can imagine the uproar from Mickey and his mates if a Tory minister did it to one of the labour 'ladies in comfortable shoes'.
Anna Soubry is a dreadful fraud.
Maybe, but Salmond needs to watch what he says and that is what this post is about.
The whole of S is laughing at you TTT
ha ha ha . :)
'' behave yourself woman'' is in fact a term of endearment in Scotland . usually prefixed by 'och' :)
Oh how charming. Sounds more like a Hawk. :-(
//The whole of S is laughing at you TTT//

My guess is it means Swaggering Sweaty so I guess it is true they are laughing at all the English being so stupid as to give them more than they give themselves.

The sooner Scotland gets Independence the better if you ask me. It will happen, and judging by the election of so many SNP MP's Scotland now thinks that way, so lets just do it so we can all get on with our lives.

YMB, did you bother to read the answers offered here before your first at 08.23? Had you done so, you would have seen from my post timed at 06.49 that a Tory minister...specifically the Prime Minister...DID DO IT "to one of the labour ladies in comfortable shoes." He asked her to "Calm down, dear!" Don't you remember?

Oh I see, so the Scottish live in the last Century, explains a lot.

That expression is, in no way, a term of endearment however you cut it.
