CP = ruined PC?
I looked at Cu for copper but couldn't work out the rest so dropped that idea

Trouble is, that means Ruin has a double use- once as an anagram indicator and once as a definition

Ruin is Definition - 'involved' is anagram indicator -

Copper - PC
His boss - Super(intendant)

Thanks. I'd assumed the 'involved' was indicating that the PC/CP was inside the SUPER (his boss), but I'm not great at analysing these things

It had me going too - but Chambers Crossword Dictionary gives 'involved' as an anagram indicator.
