How the hell was the Killers Of Lee Rigby allowed to even appeal against their sentence? If it was left to me they would have been on the end of a rope ( Or is that incorrect to even say it ? )

I think it's right that there should be an appeals process. I'm glad this one failed though.. I don't think there was ever much chance they would succeed

They have the same right to law as me and you, and I think that's right.
In these cases the law works and I'd rather keep it that way than go down the slippery slope of terms and conditions.
They will probably take it all the way to Europe. Yes they should have to pay for every penny of that and no, they shouldn't be denied that right imo.
It is madness that this scum can appeal against a vile crime that was well documented on cc tv and camera phones. We are too soft in this country.
Oh please, not another rant advocating capital punishment!

The right to appeal was granted, it failed, not surprisingly.

It would be Justice if the same happened in reverse with these scum (Inside )
Appeal lost but am sure some solicitors ran to the bank

The crime was well indeed documented on CCTV , fusion, but I don't think their appeal was based on a denial that they were involved. Anyway,it failed
yes you should have a right to appeal

in case something goes wrong - heavens ! in a terrorist trial ?
Surely not - has it happened before ?
It isn't incorrect for you to say it TWR,you have the right to your views.

But until a referendum or huge change to the way the law works,we must accept the system as it stands.

So off your reply Eccles, are you one of these that would invite these scum to tea?

For the costs of the case + the costs of the Q C Etc, how people would that feed, this justice system is a joke.
That would be tricky TWR as I don't know them and they are in jail and I am not in the habit of inviting strangers to tea.

I believe in proper judicial processes being followed and not in capital punishment.
I'm glad they were allowed to appeal.

Our (mostly) fair British justice system is one of the very things these things are against. I'm delighted that the system was shown to be working- and even more delighted it went against them.
The Justice system is flawed indeed - but if you are advocating removing the right to appeal from all, then that is a bad move IMO.

I think you might of forgotten, did e have the chance to appeal, Did his wife have chance to appeal, OH, did Lees's Son have a chance to say Daddy I love you?
No,he didn't- aren't we discussing the law here though?
Why do any of us even attempt to hold a reasonable debate with you TWR? LOL

It's pointless!

Still, it's summet to do on a cold, dark night I guess! ;-)
