So at year 7 you can work out 72.16 ÷ 8 in your head then work out 45.34 – 37.63 and add the numbers together without the use of paper?

That is a load of old tripe, you'd get the use of paper and pen as you'd have to show your workings out. No wonder I got the percentage question wrong as well.

8, but I misread one and the time limit encouraged me to work an approximate for another which turn out to be the wrong approximate. I think it is more of a how do you cope with time limit stress test than a maths one. Most of it was arithmetic anyway.
