I had a dreadful day yesterday but today, all's well.

It doesn't take a lot to throw me off kilter. Are you made of stronger stuff?

No...wish I was
Dreadful day today, started at 05.00 and will fall asleep soon xx Glad your day is better
I only get bent out of shape by things like health and people's well being. I hate unkindness and people who lack empathy and that can make me angry. Major things like international injustice and human right violations, war crimes and bigger moral things bother me and I do what little I can to affect them positively but I don't stress over what I personally can't change. Anything like money, work, or trivial things don't bother me at all. You can go crazy sweating the small stuff.
I think I cope with most things fairly well and I have had quite a lot of 'biggies' to deal with over the last couple of years.
I just bite my tongue. Like now.

Stuff passes.

Sorry to hear that, sibs. Perhaps tomorrow will be better for you.

Actually, having considered what I wrote I realise that I am talking of me and mine and my personal life. Professionally, nothing phased me and I enjoyed the challenges. A different persona, I think.
Switch on, switch off.

Question Author
Douglas, why are you having to bite your tongue? Is there something you'd like to say?
'' that's nice '' :)
Same here Tilly. It's the family stuff, can't stop the ageing process xx
Glad better today Tilly xx and hope yours improves psybbs xx

My weakness is my accident-prone, autistic, asthmatic one. I often feel like I'm just waiting for the next thing- although turned out today, his ankle isn't broken, but cast will stay on another 3 weeks. So, I hate it when my kids are ill. And spiders.
Most other things I take in my stride now.
Question Author
Yes, it's family stuff that throws us, pixie.
Kval, I have read 'Don't sweat the small stuff' as well . It makes sense.
Sometimes though, it's the small personal stuff that gets to you.
Question Author
Anne, are you Mrs Brown?
Thanks for asking Tilly but, no.
I am .
Not much bothers me.
Ummmm, how is your Gran?
Surprisingly well. She's getting more and more vacant though. At her age, the dementia, and the fact she was so unwell I think they were preparing us for the worse.
Anne can't be Mrs Brown.....she didn't say..feckin'

Hi, Tilly....glad things are better today....x

I never get thrown now..once maybe, but if I can change things that are wrong I will...and if not then getting in a tizz....ranting about it or in fact ranting at people changes nothing....

I don't have a temper..... and I'm not a worrier....which is just as well really...☺
That's about the same here, ummmm but I just feel so useless
psybo.................no one is ever useless,,, you're feckin doing a great job :)
