It really is a shame that quizzers disregard setters' requests .Some ABers help perhaps not knowing about the request- I've done that a few times. I've already sent for a copy of the quiz -wasn't going to look at this thread but wanted to see what Chorley had to say!

I don't know why the setter didnt put it on the sheet but hopefully she will comment on the 2 threads were it is already being asked. After all we are a long way off October

No, although the setter has asked on here, they did not think to put it on the sheet - hopefully in future they will.

I agree with smurf, I have just read mine and it says entries to be received by 19th October 2014 but nothing is said about not asking on internet sites.

I do see it from the answerers point of view on this one, without checking the Q&P round up at the top of the topic then you wouldn't know.


Personally I would prefer setters to put clear requests/rules on the sheet and the quizzer follow them.

As the setter of this quiz I would like to politely ask folks to try not to ask for help on internet sites until October. I apologise for not printing it on the quiz this time but thought as it had been mentioned on the original thread, it might not be necessary. ( Wrong again!)I promise to include a comment on future quizzes ( although some people were not happy about it last time).I can assure you that all quizzes will be treated equally whether they are returned complete or with spaces. The closing date is not until 19th October. Thanks in advance for your co-operation.I hope none of this spoils your enjoyment or support of the quiz. Good luck.
