Nevertheless, I'm going bonkers trying to remember the answer to "win without finishing" as a clue, in its own right. I would need to know the number of the RT crossword it last appeared in or the clue number, or the number of letters in the answer - which I've forgotten - to trace it.

Regrettably, Google insists on presenting results other than what I need and it gets worse when I try to make search terms more specific.
