'Guy' means to tease, if you heard the past tense on radio it would sound like 'guide' - escort....
The OP is one of those who simply refuses to follow Ed's guidelines for asking crossword questions.

Anyway, "on the radio" means "sounds like"
To guy is to tease.
Guyed sounds like guide, which is another word for escort
teased = guyed sounds like(on radio) guide (escort)
