Why Is It That Many Folk Can't Spell 'independence' Correctly?

Any others that get you on here? 'Your' or 'Youre' for 'You are' or 'you're' bug me too.....

The two word I can't spell on here are THE and CROSSWORD (had to do those twice as they came out as teh and crossowrd as per usual)

sometimes its the quickness of a response, it's not so much one can't spell, it is however trying to get that question, answer in before you forget what you wanted to say.

You can forgive those, emmie, and minty's untrained predictive Kindle - she managed to title me 'Dr' this morning on GMEB - to be held in the same breath as Sqad - my!

Quite often on here I wonder whether people are unsure how to spell 'please' and 'thankyou' so omit the words altogether for fear of looking foolish

Actually it doesn't bother me at all, really. But I do think that whenever someone complains about spelling/ grammar/ punctuation etc., online, then it's worth trawling other their post to find a mistake they've made. DTC's post was, unfortunately, almost perfect, so I had to pick on the last little trivial mistake!

there are some words i just cannot spell, no matter how many times i look at it, or type it out, one word is easel, it's daft, but i always think it should be easle, i know it's not of course, but sure others come unstuck on some as well
