recenty i posted an answer which mentioned hooliganism and thuggery in footballs dark days of the 80`s and spoke of a sheff utd pitch invasion. in brightons evening argus today(sat 20)there is a pic of this incident. glad those days are past . well in the ground at least ,still occurs in some places i hear.uta

It still goes on, no doubt about it, but it is now well away from the grounds, meaning that fully evolved human beings can watch the game in peace and safety, and even bring their children and wives/girlfriends.

Good riddance to bad rubbish
