Good evening all, firstly an apology for absence from Petal and a late slip from the Butler here :

http://www.theanswerb.../Question1166571.html

The buffet is a delight with the usual voltra vents and plates of cold meats and cheeses - plus some Tandoori chicken drumsticks with a raita dip and fresh made coriander naans.

Double chocolate fudge cake plus fresh fruits and Cointreau cream.

For the Rofl:

6 paper plates (Happy birthday 9 today)
4 Balloons (as above)
12 empty part poppers
Half can of lime green silly string

back soon. off to check on how the raspberry fools are coming on. should be ready now.
send a few over Lady J - had some scrumptious ones today off the cane, homemade meringues, clotted and double cream.........
I only mentioned the Lannermuirs because if I step outside the front door and look south there they are - got to go up onto the A1 to view Arthur's seat.
I loved Frank Muir and his pink bow ties
Arthur's Seat has more poetic licence to its name, nungate........

Tony met PP Arnold in the early '70's whilst she was doing lot of session work, just before she returned to LA. My late hubby was in a band ( not famous) but played lots of gigs with headline acts, so you did get to meet a few folk.

She was very nice with a beautiful smile and as you know a fabulous voice.
Excellent mamya, bet you had some great times :-)
I'll give the stragglers until 9pm and then publish and be damned.....I want to see how sibbo's vents are going down. Delish tandoori by the way....this will test the Castle plumbing later.
I suppose it does DT, I was going for geographical accuracy tonight - I seem to be in one of my more pedantic moods :-)
Is QoM talking of coming on? How is the gal.....?
they're lovely dt, sticky fingers to lick. and should have had a bib
Mr DT - please ensure the plumber has plenty to do.

Warm damp towels for your fingers, Miss sibton...
whips off his bandeau and hands it over

What's a bandeau?
with a name like that, the bandeau must have something to do with clogging up the plumbing in some extreme hiding hole of the Castle....the Lady's bedroom as rumour has it things get pretty extreme in there.
make sure the plumber has plenty to do oh gawd.
Another bucket for me if you please, maj.
QoM is feeling very sorry for herslef at the moment - she has caught a stinker of a cold, she's already on her second box of tissues today, and is halfway through pot of sudocrem (for her nose) and has just started a jar of vicks vaporub! Need I say more? Just as long as she keeps this one to herself and doesn't share it with me, I'm just getting rid of the last of the last cold she shared

They do like to share Nungate, keep well back.
Wonder if gness has drunk the pavilion dry yet ?
Just remind her from me:

Don't kiss your honey....
when your nose is runny,
cause you may think it's funny
but it's snot!
tomorrow - tonight is the dinner party, a recipe for a few disasters......

talking of the bird:

Gness, our Story of O Emerald Isle gal,
once from Guinness-land we are told.
Her men: bound, maimed, condemned to croc’s canal.
Hope she hasn't maimed any cricketers DT. hope they all had their boxes on.
