Does anyone remember, if you were a 70s kid, being given booklets of Sunny Smiles; black and white pics of smiling kids.  We had to go door to door selling them for Dr Barnardo's. My friend just reminded me of them and I had to pass it on.

Hi sunflower

Yes I remember having them at junior school in the early 70's.  I think you made a donation and then took out a picture of one of the children.

Yes I remember them. Everyone always 'bought' the cute kids, there must have been one or two pictures that were never 'bought'!
I remember them coming through the door when I was a kid - my mum always let me and my sister pick a child!
I was a pre 70's kid and I remember them. Never thought about them till I read your post.
I was made to go to sunday school in the 1960's and 70's and I regularly brought home books of Sunny Smiles to sell. I had dark straight hair and it really p****d me off that my relatives always bought the pics of the kids with blonde curls.
i remeber selling them at school and always picked the dark african children they always looked the prettiest in the circumstances
