MM Links August 2012 Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of the MM Links. This is Queen Hatshepsut with you again to pose another set of challenging link words and hopefully another cascade of points for all.

You may well wonder at my regal title – I’ve long thought Hatshepsut to have been one of the more exceptional women in history, taking the title of Pharaoh in the face of male opposition and ruling Egypt in her own right. Considering that she ruled for nearly 22 years in a country where murder was an everyday occurrence even in the royal court, she must have been strong-willed and astute amongst many other virtues.

I envy anyone who has traveled to Egypt and visited Hatshepsut’s beautiful temple in the Valley of the Kings, especially Roslyn [251254] who was there recently.
My major stumbling-block to making this journey is my absolute terror of flight – a recent trip to Melbourne by air reduced me to quivering jelly as the plane shook and rattled all the way – so much so that I traveled back to Adelaide by COACH !!

Odd when you consider that in the 19890’s, while Mr S was working on Kangaroo Island, I twice made the flight in a small 10-seater plane to spend time holidaying on that lovely Island …. Go figure !!

According to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM, I shall follow this rule on word length, in that each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts.

Each of the selected words may go in front of or behind my challenge word to make a new longer word or make a well-known phrase or saying. The combination will never be a person’s name.

The competition will officially close midnight Sunday when I will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am
Oh poor Scatty Hatty, but there's a sort of logic in you following Gen2 in marking the MM Links.
