I have looked through the Times
today for jumbo 979 and there is not
one. I am in the East Midlands so does
it provide different issues for other
areas.

I think it's online only, via The Crossword Club. It's certainly on their site but not on the online Times "e-paper".

If it's available to Club members but not to people that actually buy the paper, I think that's bang out of order

Club members pay a subscription so if there was an extra jumbo today they'd be fully entitled to it. However there isn't

There is no longer a subscription and the bamk holiday jumbo has disappeared in the on-line version. I suspect the few who managed to print it off have actually got next Saturday's crossword 5 days early.

Silly me! We do still pay a subscription for the Times - it is the guardian that no longer charges. However we are still not getting a bank holiday cryptic!
