I happened to notice an interesting topic in Chatterbank last week-'What did folks call their dogs?” (apart from unrepeatable expletives of course). That got me thinking. A past dog of mine was named Shankly - after the great Bill. I wonder how he would have handled the hand-shaking situation at Old Trafford last Saturday?

Then mighty Glasgow Rangers going into administration and the last minute postponement of the rugby in Paris gave us another week of sports related headlines. Surely it can only get better from here on.
