hail stones as big as marbles - yikes
yep same here in Essex our road is flooded........I knew that blow up boat in the loft would come in handy one day (:o)
We have thunder and lightening and it's pretty blustery. I'm wating for a patch of blue sky to run home in.
Whereabouts are you tambo? here in the NW it is windy but not as bad as it has been recently, the rain we had earlier has stopped and it is a bit chilly.
The winds of change are a'blowing ! ;-)
All the cobwebs have gone........

am SE nr Heathrow. The horses bums are facing north - their indication of weather direction :)
How do you cope with living so close to a major airport? I couldn't stand it! Its bad enough where we are as BAE Warton is just up the road and it gets quite noisy when they are testing the jets (or when the Red Arrows are here for maintenance etc.)
Somerset signing in ..lol... patchy blue sky... rainy here this morning... blustery now.. but blommin chilly... whens summer comming?? lol Mrs Crisper x
It's surprising what one can filter out, and eventually just be used to.
warwickshire in the midlands also signing in,
winds have dropped slightly and rain has eased off.
mildish temps, sunshine trying to break through.
so, its fine here, as we speak.

Am 8miles away so dont hear them. Police helicopters on motorway make more noise.
Here in sunny Bournemouth it's not sunny at all infact it's cold and windy with the odd heavy shower :o(
it's no to bad here in Perthshire, had 70mph winds gusting to 80mph 2 days ago tho'
More breezy in Manchester but according to the local press we're in for 80mph gales! It was worse a couple of days ago, calmed down a bit the last day or two.

I'm about 6 miles from Manchester airport, different scale but I don't usually hear planes usually though I can see some on certain flightpaths. There is a great pub nearby with a beergarden right near the end of one of the runways. I'd love to be near an airbase with fighter jets (or somewhere with Seakings) and such - was in my element up in Leuchers/St Andrews near the tornado base there. More novelty though, probably not so great trying to sleep through it!
We have at last had a good rainfall down here in Kent!
You should have seen the rain this evening when leaving work.
Boy did it come down, the streets were awash.
There was thunder and lightning. I got drenched to the skin!
The strong wind is back again and we have some heavy showers in Yorkshire, looks like it will be here for the holiday weekend.
Here there has been a short shower (mid south coast) wind now dropped, not warm. Desperately need some sustained rain.
